Reconstructing Theology

Evangelical theology has been issued a challenge by Clark Pinnock. In recent years, Pinnock’s openness theology has attacked traditional theological positions on the doctrine of God, salvation, Christianity’s relationship with world religions, and the doctrine of hell. In this set of essays, these major issues are addressed by offering critiques of Pinnock’s theological position.

The essays are written by evangelical scholars from a variety of view points, and include essays on biblical materials, historical perspectives, and substantial theological issues. At three key stages in the book Pinnock himself offers a response, creating a dialogue on these major issues.
