These Strange Ashes tells, in her own words, how God called Elisabeth Elliot to the forests of Ecuador, with three other women, to bring the gospel to the Colorado Indians, a people with no written language and a culture vastly different to her own.  She tells of the lessons learnt through the joys and sadness and frustrations, and in doing so, encourages us to depend on God who is always faithful.
