This is an excellent book in understanding the issues at play in the 16th century English Reformation. The introductory chapter and the chapters of John Hooper and Hugh Latimer are by far the best and really describe the state of England’s religion pre-Reformation in a way that gives you a real sense of awe at what God did through these mayrtered Reformers in such a short period of time. As a set of biographies, this book is okay, as an unpacking of the significance of the English Reformation, this is a must read for every English-speaking Christian who owes their faith to the work of these men.
