Be Transformed Book Club
All schools and churches are invited to join CBD KZN (Christian Book Discounters) in a wonderful new venture to help our children get back to reading all about our Lord Jesus Christ and in so doing, transform a generation for the Kingdom.
The battle is fierce for the hearts and minds of our children and young adults to conform to the pattern of this world BUT the apostle Paul urges us to be ‘transformed by the renewing of our minds’ and that is only possible through the WORD and other Christian literature.
Our Vision is to see all schools and churches stocking good Christian literature back in the libraries where our Christian learners have free access.
To promote this vision, CBD KZN challenge all schools and churches to join our book club called…

How?

What Books?
Books are being chosen that are solid and help the children to dig deeper in the Word and build their faith. There will be at least four books per year. A set for primary schools and a set for high schools. That means one book per term, unless otherwise stated. The list of books will be available from CBD and also appear on our new website/blog.
What Blog?
A new website and blog has been created especially for this project called “Be Transformed”. Each book will appear on the website with a professional review done by carefully selected and qualified brains. Each child or group who are reading the books are encouraged to log onto the site and read the reviews as well as give their own opinion of the book read or share with others what the book has meant to them.
Wow!
Does that mean we are not just a club in our school or church but also a part of the wider club in KZN—Yes! Children and young adults alike will be encouraged to see that they are not alone but a part of something broader and bigger—the Kingdom of God. This kind of encouragement will help them to stand in the time of temptation and also to do great things for God.
Who Pays?
Each school or church has to pay for the quantity books they have ordered. It is then up to them if they want the children to pay for their own books. May we suggest that a few copies are made available for the libraries as well especially for those who cannot afford it.

Book Club Books will be offered at a special price even less than our already discounted prices, BUT only to club members—SO SIGN UP!
When does this Start?
We would like all participating schools or churches to RSVP CBD no later than the end of the third term. This gives us enough time to order in sufficient stock for the FIRST TERM 2011.
What Else?
In order to help parents, schools and churches to have ready access to good books, CBD KZN offer to do book tables at the churches or schools. Please tick the appropriate box if you wish to be contacted so that we can set a date.
